Bothered by yesterday's heavy smog, Sun said she felt the urge to do something as an artist. [Photo/IC] |
This is not the first time Sun tried to raise public awareness to strive for a better environment. Last October, Sun performed "Marry the Blue Sky" at the Beijing Exhibition Center, during which she dressed in a wedding dress with 999 respirators stitched on. She said it was to call people's attention to care for the environment as well as life on earth.
Other performances including "Smog Dolls", "Green Man" and "Water Drops". During these performances, Sun, a painter, tried to give respirators to pedestrians, taking pictures with her paintings at public places like the Tian'anmen Square.
