China has been activily dealing with climate change with a responsible attitude.

Although when it comes to dealing with climate change, all countries should stick to the principle of "common but differentiated responsibilities". But developing countries, such as China, have made outstanding contributions on dealing with global climate change. Xi Jinping used statistics to prove China's determination and actions on tackling climate change.

During Reuters' interview, Xi Jinping said that China has become the world's first power in energy conservation and utilizing new energies and renewable energy sources. In 2014, China's energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP respectively reduced 29.9% and 33.8%, compared with 2005. China submitted its Intended Nationally Determined Contributions to the UN, which is focused on tackling global climate change, and also demanded by China's development. This is the biggest effort to achieve the convention's goal. China announced that it will make available 20 billion RMB for setting up China South-South Cooperation Fund to support other developing countries to combat climate change.

Xi Jinping addressed at the Leaders Working Lunch on Climate Change of UN, that China is actively dealing with climate change with a responsible attitude, considers tackling climate change as a great opportunity to transform the development mode, and actively explores a low-carbon developing path which is suitable to China's national conditions." In the future, China will further limit greenhouse gas emission, and try its best to achieve the goal of reducing 40% to 45% of its carbon emission. China is willing to take those international responsibilities which are in accordance with China's national conditions, developing stage and actual capabilities.

Under the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction, China explored a low-carbon developing path with Chinese characteristics. In the future, China will make its own voice, pass on China's strength, and become the catalyst which can promote all countries to work together to deal with climate change.

China tackles climate change with a serious attitude and sends out active signals which obtained a variety of approvals

French president Francois Hollande, during his state visit in China, attended Beijing press conference on Nov 3, 2015. He spoke highly of China's actions on dealing with climate change and said the actions have a great significance on convincing other developing countries and emerging countries to attend the 21st Climent Meeting of UN.

Hollande said that China has recently sent out many active signals on climate change. First, China has made the decision to join Green Climate Fund and many other developing funds. Hollande hoped that China can open new dialogues with developing countries and emerging countries, in order to reach an agreement on attending Paris Climate Summit and achieving goals of emission reduction.

Before the conference, Christiana Figueres, the executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, said that China's actions on climate change are great examples and very impressive.

Figueres said that as a developing country, China has took very impressive actions on dealing with climate change. In China's Intendedly Nationally Determined Contribution, it is said that the amount of greenhouse gas emission will reach its peak around 2030, and national carbon emission trading system will be activated in 2017. Besides, actions of dealing with climate change will be listed into the13th Five-Year Plan. All of these proved that China is taking climate change issue very seriously.
