TEHRAN - Iran's permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said the recent report of the UN nuclear watchdog about Iranian nuclear program is an indicative of his country's progress and achievements, state- run IRIB TV reported Thursday.

The progress in Iran's nuclear program has been made in line with the IAEA regulations and under the watch of the agency, Ali- Asghar Soltanieh was quoted as saying.

In the report, the UN nuclear watchdog said Wednesday that Iran further expanded its nuclear enrichment capability by installing hundred advanced centrifuges in its central Natanz uranium enrichment plant which is used for 5 percent enriched uranium production.

"The (new IAEA) report is just like the previous ones, with the difference that only some figures have been changed," said Soltanieh.

"The notable message of this report is that the agency has been able to maintain its inspections without any problem and there has been no evidence of diversion to weaponization in Iran's nuclear activities," he emphasized.

The constant IAEA inspections from Iran's nuclear activities reveal that most of allegations of Western media is "unfounded," added Iranian nuclear official.

Iran has been committed to its international obligations in its nuclear activities, he concluded.

The West accuses Iran of developing nuclear weapon under cover of civilian nuclear program, and imposed a series of sanctions aimed at crippling Iran's economy, while the latter stresses that its nuclear program is for civilian use only.
