A group of Chinese young people gathered at Beijing's Lithuanian Embassy Thursday.

Ambassador Lina Antanaviciene and the embassy's diplomats welcomed the visitors for European Union Open Day. Officials answered questions from the group, which was followed by a screening of a documentary about the country. Guests also enjoyed a short Lithuanian language lesson and participated in a basketball shooting competition.

On July 1, 2013, Lithuania will become the president of the Council of EU.

The Delegation of the European Union to China and the embassies of the EU Member States will hold more EU Open Days throughout June as part of the third annual EU Open Days for Young People.
