The suspect was named Ma Yongping, who reportedly owns three vehicles.
The fire broke out on a bus at about 7 am in Yinchuan, Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, and it was extinguished by firefighters within 10 minutes. At least 14 people were reportedly killed and 32 injured in the bus fire.
The cause of the blaze is under further investigation, said local authorities.
