HANOI - Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang will attend the United Nations (UN) Summit during Sept 24-28 for the adoption of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development and related events in New York, the United States, the foreign ministry said on Monday.

The attendance will be made at the invitation of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, the ministry said.

More than 150 world leaders are expected to attend the upcoming UN sustainable development summit and to adopt a sustainable development agenda to guide the development of the international community over the next 15 years, according to UN Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric earlier last week.
