Star-struck woman seeks to sell Sun plots
A Spanish woman who threatened to sue eBay for banning her from selling plots on the Sun has had her claim accepted by a court.
Maria Duran first registered the star under her name at a notary office in 2010 and opened an account on eBay to sell square-meter plots for one euro each.
The American e-commerce company blocked her account for violating an intangible goods policy but Duran turned to her own website to continue selling.
She claims that although the policy denies any country owns the Sun, she is an individual and should not be bound by it.
A hearing will take place next month after Duran refused to resolve the problem with eBay out of court.
