A new trend where grownups dress in adult-size versions of clothes they wore as children is developing in New York.

Gathering inspiration from his mother while she was throwing out his "baby" clothes, 26-year-old New Yorker Matt Starr came up with the idea of "Babycore".

"When cleaning out the attic, my mom threatened to throw out all my Gymboree clothes, and seeing that made me really sad," explained Starr. "I saw the clothes and couldn't stop thinking about how badly I wish they still made clothes like these. That's when I got the idea to commission conceptual artist Bryn Taubensee to recreate one of my favorite childhood sweatshirts."

Starr now foresees a line of clothing paying tribute to nostalgic kiddy garments, as well as baby-style foodstuffs and even adult playrooms.
