Humanoid robot 1st communication session in space

Humanoid communication robot Kirobo (L) and Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata exchange messages in their first communication session between a robot and a human being in space, at the International Space Station (ISS) Dec 6, 2013 in this picture released by Kibo Robot Project on Dec 19, 2013. Dentsu Inc, Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the University of Tokyo, Robo Garage and Toyota jointly developed the robot astronaut, called Kirobo, which was carried by the Kounotori 4 cargo spacecraft and launched by a H-2B rocket on Aug 4 from Japan, and arrived to the ISS on Aug 10.
