Light and darkness, knowledge and mystery, these contradictions and polarities cannot exist without the other. The Gar understand these deep qualities of the universe, and beat it out of their instruments for everyone to hear.
Their name is a play on words from a Beijing Opera term, showing their playful yet intelligent nature. Deeply rooted in Chinese culture, but always pressing forward into the unknown future, The Gar has been lighting the way for Chinese rock music since 2006. One of Beijing rock's veteran bands, hear their new sounds for the new Chinese millenium.
