Louisville police used tear gas and an armored car on Tuesday to calm disturbances that erupted during a celebration of the Cardinals' NCAA championship win.
Gatherings were mostly peaceful following Louisville's victory. Campus police, working with Louisville police and sheriff's deputies, reported just 10 arrests and three injuries after students swarmed the area following the win.
However, things got out of hand around Cardinal Boulevard and Third Street as the revelry was winding down.
Riot police were called in after an officer was attacked. Students quickly fled the area, but several scuffles ensued and bottles were thrown, forcing police to use tear gas.
