It really doesn’t matter because every mouthful is a delightful blend of sweet and salty, soft and creamy, with the occasional tactile crunch when you hit a fig. We had thought an order each would be too much after our hefty main courses, so we’d cancelled one and decided to share the remaining dessert.
By the time we had scraped the bottom of the pudding dish clean we were regretting our decision.
Of course, Husk serves up a good selection of tested favorites as well. The duck terrine starter is excellent and comes with a chilled pot of duck liver pate and two nice crisp slices of lavash bread.
My colleague had a Caesar Salad which she obviously enjoyed. Every Romaine lettuce leaf was well covered with dressing, a crucial detail often overlooked at some top restaurants.
This can only be an introduction to the menus at Husk. I certainly intend to go back again to try the interesting vegetarian options I spotted in every section, like the spinach and cheese soufflé with asparagus and pear salad.
