A training project for aviation maintenance personnel was officially launched on Monday in Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi province.
The aim of the program is to help locally qualified people trained by the project to get jobs in Europe.
It is the first such project launched in Northwest China for maintenance qualification certificate training service with the standards of European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). Those who complete the training and get the certificate can be employed as maintenance staff by airlines in 28 EU member countries as well as in Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.
On Monday, Xi'an Aeronautical University and Singapore Mil-Com Aerospace Group signed the agreement to launch the project in Xi'an Aviation Industrial Base, one of national level industrial bases for aviation development, aiming to build a platform for personnel training, human resource development and technical service to meet the needs of international aviation industry development.
Mil-Com Aerospace Group is an aerospace leader in South East Asia and the first Boeing training center outside the United States, and also the first training center approved by EASA in the Asia and Pacific, according to Cai Long, manager of Mil-Com Xi'an Investment Company.
