House of bribes

Chen Boyu, a boss of a real estate company in Beijing was sentenced to three years suspended jail after he offered a bribe to a local official in charge of land management for a house valued at 4.08 million yuan, Beijing Times reported.

Chen said he planned to bribe the official with a smaller house valued at 2.8 million yuan, but the official was dissatisfied and asked for more.
