BEIJING - The official tip-off website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) issued a statement on Sunday unveiling its process for handling comments and complaints from the public.
As an important source of clues in the fight against corruption, public complaints and tip-offs are critical for the public to supervise party cadres and government officials, said the statement.
According to the statement, the CCDI will handle public reports of discipline violations by CPC organizations and members, complaints from CPC members and officials who refuse punishment by disciplinary institutions, and suggestions for CPC party building and discipline supervision.
The CCDI will register public comments and complaints via written letters, the Internet, personal visits and hotlines, and assign them to discipline inspection bureaus, the statement said.
Petition undertakers should respond to real-name whistleblowers in accordance with relevant regulations after dealing with the complaints, it added.
