It is said that women hold up half the sky. But in corporate world they still have a long way to go as they hold only 24 percent of senior positions in 36 major economies, according to a report released by global accountancy firm Grant Thornton on Monday.
Females in China have broken many barriers in the past three years as more women ascend to top decision-making levels. Women held 21 percent of senior jobs in 2014 in the Chinese mainland and 25 percent in 2015 but the rate surged to 30 percent this year.
