Li Bo, who was born in Hubei province in 1983, came to Beijing 12 years ago. He thought school was a waste of money, so he dropped out in pursuit of something better. After changing his job twice, he settled on becoming a hairdresser.
Li now serves some 200 customers each month. Though he is happy with his life now, Li said he would go back to his hometown in the future and open a hair salon of his own.
