Among them is Liang Yu, a Shenzhen-based artist who in childhood often played at the railway station where his parents worked. He therefore curates an ongoing exhibition, titled Flow of Poetry, at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing.
The shown paintings, installations, photos and videos review the railway development of China spanning several decades. More importantly, they awaken the audience's nostalgic feelings about reunion and departure, and about past living experiences which were mixed with hardships and happiness.
The exhibition runs through Oct 23.
