Chinese tenor Jiang Dawei will stage a concert on Dec 26 at
Beijing's Great Hall of the People to celebrate the 40th year of his singing career. The program will be selected from among the more than 1,000 songs he has performed. He'll also sing folk songs in different dialects and traditional Chinese operas. The 65-year-old is one of China's most celebrated vocalists, with such signature works as Song of the Peony and In a Place with Lush Peach Blossoms. Some of Jiang's students, including those from different ethnic groups, such as Mongolians, Tibetans and Koreans, will join the concert.
