A concert by the renowned China National Symphony Orchestra's Children and Women's Choir will present a history of Chinese choral music. The program will include some of the classics of China's 20th century choral music, such as Li Shutong's Farewell, Qu Xixian's Listening to Mother's Old Stories, and a rendition of Taiwan musician Lo Ta-yu's Brilliant Days. The concert will be conducted by the choir's founder Yang Hongnian and principal conductor Yang Li. Writer Yang Lang, host of the concert, will comment on each work as well as introduce the history of Chinese choral music to the audience.
