Beijing will host the First China International Recycled Fiber Conference from Dec 5 to 7.
Organized by the forestry industry information provider RISI, the conference will be one of the highest-level international events in the recycled paper industry ever hosted in China.
Members of the China Resources Recycling Association, Chinese government officials, industry experts, associations from developed countries, recovered paper collectors and paper producers will participate in the conference at the Beijing Marriott Hotel City Wall.
The event will explore the issues facing the recovered paper industry in China and will also be a good platform to discuss solutions to make it more healthy and sustainable.
China’s recovered paper market has seen rapid growth in recent years thanks to the country’s fast development and industrial modernization.
China’s recovered paper consumption was 7.6 million tons in 1994 before jumping to 71 million tons in 2011.
