'It girl' Alexa Chung to release her own apparel label

Ready-to-wear label Alexachung, for which Chung takes on the role of creative director, will be available at department stores, such as Selfridges and Galeries Lafayette, starting May next year. Chung will also cooperate with luxury e-commerce platforms such as Matchesfashion.com, MyTheresa and SSENSE, and will promote her brand mainly in London, New York, Paris and Hong Kong.

Chung, who is born to a British mother and a Chinese father, is widely recognized as one of the most stylish young woman in UK. She has expressed the desire to establish her own label as early as 2012.

Chung said she hoped to provide items that are unique, new, exciting and something that all can connect with.
