World famous US trumpeter Chris Botti will hold a concert at Beijing's Wangfujing Catholic Church on October 11, as part of the 16th Beijing Music Festival.
As one of the major music event sponsors, United Bank of Switzerland (UBS) has worked with the Beijing Music Festival for 10 years, and will sponsor the Chris Botti concert at the Wangfujing church.
Botti is expected to perform all of his classic songs, including his masterpiece When I Fall In Love, and other well-known tunes such as En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor and Cinema Paradiso.
The trumpeter has worked with US musician Paul Simon, English musician Sting and Chinese musician Ma Youyou. In 2004, he was appeared on People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People list. And his latest album Impressions won the Grammy best pop instrumental album for 2013.
UBS has been a firm supporter of the Beijing Music Festival for years, providing not only financial support, but also a stage for talented composers and performers.
"UBS is a practitioner of the development of the Chinese financial market, and an active promoter of the development of the Chinese art and culture market. A 10-year working relationship with the Beijing Music Festival exactly reflects the sense of value the group just has as it has shown through its 150 history, a pursuit for brilliance while promoting local economic prosperity and cultural development," said David Li, chairman of UBS AG.
