A thief, calling himself a "moved sinner", returned a wallet filled with donations and a remorseful letter to the owner through the media in Yantai, East China's Shangdong province, Qilu Evening News reported on Saturday.
The thief said in the letter that he was shocked when he saw a donation receipt, a donor list and more than 4,000 yuan in the wallet. After days of spiritual struggle, he decided to return the money, which is for saving a patient's life, via the media to let more people know the wallet owner is a good man. He said he would quit thieving and seek a job back home and hoped one day to become like the wallet owner.
