BEIJING - Chinese Vice-President Li Yuanchao urged the cooperation with Bangladesh in trade and infrastructure development at a meeting with visiting Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid on Saturday.

China would like to push the building of an economic corridor linking Bangladesh, China, India and Myanmar, Li said.

The two countries should work together in trade, investment, infrastructure, industrial parks and people-to-people exchange, he said.

Bangladesh hopes China can increase investment and help it develop infrastructure, Hamid said.

Hamid is in Beijing for a dialogue on strengthening connectivity partnership.
