Large Medium SmallIn an effort to boost transparency and win trust of other countries, China has published more detailed information than ever before on the structure of its armed forces, reported Washington Post.
The twice-yearly white paper shows that the People's Liberation Army has a ground force of 850,000; the PLA Air Force has a total strength of 398,000 and the PLA Navy 235,000. It has also declassified the designations of army corps.
The document marks the first time the PLA has given this amount of details on its structure.
