The Second China Jinchang Lijian Cultural International Tourism Festival kicked off on Tuesday night in Jinchang, Gansu province.
As part of the ongoing Silk Road International Tourism Festival that opened on Aug 1, the Jinchang festival, sponsored by the city government, is aimed at promote the development of the city’s tourism industry.
Jinchang is located in the central part of Gansu province. Its rich cultural heritage and unique natural landscape provide perfect resources attracting tourists. During the three-day festival, the city will provide various colorful cultural displays and performances.
Eleven tourism and cultural cooperation projects will be signed, with an investment worth 3.38 billion yuan ($552 million).
