Visitors line up at the east gate of Peking University, or Beida, July 17, 2013. More than 600 people were waiting in line as of 2 pm to visit the university on Wednesday. "I want my daughter to feel the atmosphere of the college in advance and work to be admitted to Beida," a woman with her 6-year-old daughter said. Some students at Beida complain about the noise made by tourists. "It is awful to be a scenic spot," a student said. The university requires reservations for group visitors and registration before entering the campus. [Photo/icpress.cn] |
