ZHENGZHOU -- Nine people were killed after a coach carrying at least 34 people collided with another vehicle and crashed into a roadside pond in central China's Henan Province on Sunday, a government spokesman said.
Two injured remain in critical conditions while 23 others are out of life-threatening danger, a spokesman for county government of Minquan said, citing hospital sources.
The accident occurred 11 a.m. Sunday in Minquan. The coach, operated by Shangqiu Passenger Transportation Group, was heading for provincial capital Zhengzhou from the city of Shangqiu, the spokesman said.
The accident is being investigated.
