A seaport city in East China's Zhejiang province, Ningbo is located 220 kilometers south of Shanghai. It is a major exporter of electrical products, textiles, food and industrial tools. The private economy of the city is especially well-developed, contributing 80 percent of total Gross Domestic Product last year.
