Historical facts about the 1937 Nanjing Massacre are now being showcased in the Memorial de Caen museum in France. The special exhibition, covering 800 square meters, will display more than 270 historical photos, as well as diaries, letters and other documents from diplomats, professors, doctors and reporters from the 1930s.

The exhibition will run from October 22 until December 15, two days after China's third National Memorial Day for the Nanjing Massacre Victims.

Opened on June 6, 1988, the Memorial de Caen museum is dedicated to the history of violence and intensive, outstanding conflict in the 20th Century, looking at the causes and course of the conflict.

It is the only European museum to recount and explain World War II from a global perspective, and it is also the first in Europe to display historical facts about the 1937 Nanjing Massacre.
