Girl, 7, gets 3D printed hand

A girl in the US has a 3D printed prosthetic hand that looks like the type Iron Man wears thanks to the Build It Workspace in California.

The seven-year-old even got to choose the colors - her favorite pink, blue and purple.

The oldest of three children, Faith Lennox suffered compartment syndrome when her position in her mother's womb at childbirth cut off the flow of blood to her left forearm, irreparably damaging tissue, muscle and bone. After nine months' trying to save the limb, doctors determined they had to amputate just below the elbow.

Prosthetic limbs can cost thousands of dollars but Faith's cost just $50, and when she outgrows it she can easily create a larger replacement.
