Laxman Hemnani and his wife, Hetal, are from India. They’ve been in China for almost ten years. They own Ganges, an Indian restaurant chain with five branches in Beijing. The couple opened the restaurant's first branch in 2005, and reuqests from customers convinced them to open the second just one year later. Eight years since its doors opened, Ganges now has locations in The Place, Beijing's Central Business District, Sanlitun and near the Silk Market. What is unqiue about Indian food? And what made this couple's restaurant so successful?
