 Large Medium  SmallThe anti-graft authorities are investigating a former vice-president of a key university in Sichuan province on corruption allegations.
An Xiaoyu, the former vice-president of Sichuan University, is being investigated for gravely violating Party discipline, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China said on its website on Wednesday.
Some of An's behavior allegedly violated the criminal law, and he has been transferred to judicial authorities for further investigation, the commission said.
The commission gave no further details on the case.
Sichuan University is one of China's key universities under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Education. It is a high-level comprehensive research university.
Also on Wednesday, Wu Yong, the top political advisor of Wuhou district in Chengdu, Sichuan province, was probed for suspected grave violation of Party discipline, according to the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
