Large Medium SmallA former highway official in Hunan province went on trial recently at Jishou city people's court for taking bribes, the Economic Information reported on Friday.
A verdict was not delivered.
Feng Weilin, 50, former director of the Hunan provincial expressway administration bureau, allegedly abused his office to intervene in construction projects, equipment procurement and personnel arrangements, from 2001.
He also allegedly received over 40 million yuan ($6.6 million) in bribes.
