Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said at a meeting of the campaign's leading group that officials should conduct thorough self-examination for undesirable work styles and carry out criticism and self-criticism to identify and correct deep-rooted problems.
The one-year campaign was launched in June by China's leaders to boost ties between CPC officials and members and the people, while cleaning up undesirable work styles such as formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism and extravagance.
Specific measures to correct officials' problems should be prepared and made public in order to get feedback from the public about implementation of the campaign, Liu said.
