Corruption cases represented 91.3 percent of all job-related crime cases in Shanghai from 2008 to 2012, a member of the city's political advisory body said on Monday.

"Based on our research, a total of 1,941 people in 1,658 cases were found guilty of corruption by the city's procuratorate organs, from 2008 to 2012," said Li Fenhua, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference's Shanghai Committee.

Li also talked "unspoken rules" in certain industries, the growing negative impact of corruption cases, and the new methods and technology that are being used in such cases.

Li urged the local legislature to pass anti-corruption regulation as soon as possible. She also urged authorities to ask officials to report their assets, and publish that information.
