MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump are expected to meet in Vietnam on Friday, Russian news agencies reported Thursday, citing Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov.

The meeting, likely to be held on the sidelines of the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders' Meeting, will be the presidents' second formal face-to-face conversation following the first one in July in Hamburg, Germany.

Earlier this week, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin and Trump at their highly possible meeting in Vietnam will discuss urgent issues, including the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

The possible Putin-Trump meeting will contribute to global peace, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said.
