Israeli war jets strike on Gaza in response to rocket firing
GAZA - Israeli war jets carried out a series of successive airstrikes on the Gaza Strip early on Wednesday in response to earlier rocket attack carried out from the coastal enclave into Israel, security officials said.
Security officials and eyewitnesses said that a series of huge explosions were heard in northwest Gaza city, adding that it was a result of two heavy airstrikes at posts that belong to militants in the area.
Medical sources said that at least two civilians were injured and were evacuated to the hospital for medical treatment.
The Israeli airstrikes on the militants posts were an Israeli response to an earlier rocket attack fired from the Gaza Strip into Israel causing no damages or casualties, according to Israel Radio.
