My China Story

By Tariq H. Malik | chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2016-11-29 11:22

Across dazzling cities and towns,

Like a different history and races.

The North spans to chilly mountains,

The South is full of roaring rivers

East has broader busy blunders,

And the west full of sandy fountains

Many kingdoms have crossed here,

Eastern and western emperors met there,

From hill tops to deeper canyons,

Exciting remnants are everywhere,

Noteworthy beauty and bloom,

Gown-dipped in fleshy hot springs,

Their rise makes slender splashes,

And their descent ends with a frown

Far away is my moody mind,

Looking down through till of hope

To be or not so forever,

It rests on my mental scope

Once here and then rushing there

Being one and alone in this jiggle

I always think but rarely reveal

Why wonder when hardly I care

Perhaps I am victim of my worry

Random thoughts and distal leery

In my own swag, secluded world

I am, and it is my chalking China story
