Soiree, a Chinese fashion company, and Tencent, China's leading internet enterprise, are promoting The Joywave Fund, a foundation to help children who lose hearing.

From Sept 7 to 9, whenever the Joywave Fund gets a donation, Soiree and Tencent will donate to the fund.

Soiree's founder and CEO Wang Siming says it will donate some 200,000 yuan ($30,500), while Tencent will call on IT companies to donate about 200 million yuan.

The Joywave Fund, under China Children's and Teenagers' Foundation, was started in 2016 to raise funds for kids under 7 who lose hearing.

China has 137,000 kids under 6 who have hearing problems, and every year some 20,000 new-borns are affected.
