An exhibition of Spring Festival couplets that opened Tuesday at the National Museum of China in Beijing will run through Feb 12.

Deeply loved by the Chinese people, Spring Festival couplets are regarded as a traditional Chinese way to express good wishes.

Posting couplets alongside a door is a tradition for celebrating Chinese lunar New Year.

The exhibition is being held to better advocate and spread traditional Chinese culture and celebrate the upcoming Year of the Rooster.
