Spiral slide unveiled in Chongqing mall

By Deng Rui | chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2017-02-17 17:06

A 16-meter-tall spiral slide was unveiled in a shopping mall in Chongqing recently. The slide extends from the mall's fourth floor to its first, stretching nearly 50 meters.

The equipment, made in Germany, is certified by TUV, a leading provider of international testing and certification services, according to Wang Jinghong, who works for the Bailian Nan'an mall and is the person responsible for the slide's management.

Sliders must be no less than 1.2 meters tall for safety reasons. People with heart or high blood pressure problems are banned from using the slide.

A shopping mall in Shanghai also had a spiral tube slide installed last year.
