China's postal delivery volume hits 216.5 billion items in 2025
BEIJING -- China's postal industry processed 216.5 billion delivery items in 2025, an increase of 11.5 percent year on year, according to data released at the 2026 national postal work conference on Wednesday.
The courier sector alone handled 199 billion parcels, marking a 13.7 percent growth from 2024.
Zhao Chongjiu, head of the State Post Bureau, said at the conference that the postal industry's total business revenue reached 1.8 trillion yuan (about $256.5 billion) in 2025, rising 6.4 percent year on year. Revenue from courier services climbed 6.5 percent to 1.5 trillion yuan.
Zhao noted that the industry has maintained steady and positive growth momentum, with key indicators showing stable growth and the sector further strengthening its role in boosting economic and social development.
