Defense Ministry's account on X to serve as a bridge between China and the world

The Chinese Ministry of National Defense's account on the social platform X will serve as a bridge and link for communication and exchange between China and the world, a ministry's spokesperson said on Monday.

Jiang Bin, the spokesman, made these remarks in an online news briefing regarding the ministry's account on X, which was launched last week.

The X account (handle: @MND_China) was established to better meet the information needs of overseas audiences, he said.

"We will promptly release information, share stories, and address concerns, allowing more people to understand the true, multi-dimensional, and comprehensive sides of the Chinese military," Jiang said.

"We will also continuously improve through attentive listening and sincere dialogue, enhancing our role as a bridge and link for communication and exchange between China and the outside world."
