BEIJING - Education authorities must take zero tolerance for violations of regulations and discipline of the postgraduate entrance exam this year, the Ministry of Education (MOE) said Thursday.

At a video meeting on the 2019 entrance exam for postgraduate studies, the MOE said it required local authorities to adopt a higher standard and take more effective measures to ensure a smooth exam.

The MOE also called for coordinated efforts with judiciary authorities to crack down on crimes involving the exam.

The 2019 entrance exam for postgraduate studies will run from Dec. 22 to 24.
