Situated at a geological position that connects the East and West, Ukraine's history has left its people a cultural legacy of richness and diversity which inspires artists even today.

The Color of History, an exhibition at the Palace Museum's Yongshou Gong (the palace of longevity) through Nov 19, shows a selection of the country's cultural relics and its people's creativity in decorative and applied arts through the centuries.

The exhibits are from the collection of Museum of Historic Cultural Heritage Platar. Part of them are vintage gold ware.

The modern watercolors, prints and engravings trace artistic evolution in the country from the second half of the 20th century till now.
