Premier Li Keqiang arrived in Amsterdam, capital of the Netherlands, on Sunday afternoon local time to kick off his first official visit to the country.

The Netherlands is among the first Western countries that established diplomatic ties with China, Li said. Noting that both China and the Netherlands are large trading nations and also important trading partners for each other, Li said he expects his visit will enhance political mutual trust and will bring consensus in protecting multilateralism, backing economic globalization and facilitating trade and investment liberalization between the two countries.

During his visit, Li will hold talks with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. The two leaders will jointly meet the media and witness the signing of a number of cooperative documents. He will also address the Sino-Dutch business forum and interact with local businesses leaders.
