A ceremony was held on Monday at Siberian Tiger Park in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, to send pandas Jia Jia and Meng Meng back to Sichuan province.

The two pandas arrived at the park on June 25, 2015, being the first to have been raised in a high-altitude area for a long period. During the three years, they adapted to the climate in northeastern China and gained weight properly.

Now that they have reached the age for breeding, China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda decided to transfer them back to its Dujiangyan base and let them join the 2019 breeding plan.
