Toronto Dragon Festival 2018 co-organized by the Association of Canadian Chinese Cultural and Artistic Groups and the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto was held in Nathan Philips Square, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on July 15.

The square was decorated in Chinese style with red lanterns, Chinese archway, Chinese dragon statue and giant dragon head.

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau and Minister of Small Business and Tourism Bardish Chagger sent a congratulatory letter to the festival. Zhuang Yaodong, acting consul general of the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Toronto, and several Canadian representatives attended the opening ceremony.

Zhuang said in his speech that Canada has 1.7 million overseas Chinese, and for a long time they have made important contributions to economic and social development and multiculturalism. Toronto Dragon Festival 2018 was an innovative way for Chinese communities in Toronto to share traditional Chinese culture with all ethnic groups. The Consulate-General of China hoped it could give the people in Toronto the experience of Chinese culture.
